▶ Permission to Overseas student (D-2) to work part-time

○ Qualification
- Those who possess Overseas Student visa (D-2) and are currently attending the university
- Those who receive a recommendation letter from their adviser or instructor; or a recommendation
letter from a language instructor in the case of language trainees
- Those who possess Language Trainee visa (D-4-1) and have been registered and enrolled at
a language institute for more than 6 months
- Those who have completed the regular Master’s/Doctor’s courses and are on the process of writing
their thesis/dissertation

○ Prescribed number of working hours
- No more than 20 hours during the semester (only from Mondays to Fridays)
* For those who are candidates for Master’s/Doctor’s degree and are in the process of writing
their thesis, they are allowed to work not more than 30 hours per week (Based on Revised
10.7.26 Law)
- Can work in not more than two places
- There is no limit on working hours and working days during vacation except weekends and
holidays)
